Aboard the Quad you reach the Sanctuary of Gibilmanna on a paved path that will give you a way to put into practice the basics of driving a Quad.

The Sanctuary of Gibilmanna is located only 14 km from the city on the wooded slopes of Pizzo Sant’Angelo, a place made sacred by the Arabs, who told of miraculous acts performed by Madonna.

The excursion in Quad continues along unpaved paths that wind through the magnificent Madonie mountain range and pass through forests and trails inhabited by wild animals.

The Sicilian hinterland, away from the hot beaches and archaeological sites scattered along the coast, offers perhaps the most authentic look of this land. The mountains of the island have a rough and wild beauty with Quadexcursions will have the opportunity to fully grasp.

Continuing the route you’ll arrive in Castelbuono, a medieval town of about 10,000 inhabitants nestled in the foothills of the Madonie, in a pleasant valley, a harmonious fusion of greenery and rocks.

Castelbuono is a nice country to visit for many reasons: the Castle of Ventimiglia, the passion for the slow-food movement, the manna work (product typical Sicilian obtained from the sap extracted from some plants of the genus Fraxinus) and the entire cultural heritage the country.

Castelbuono pays also great about the ecological and energy policy and is committed to compliance and environmental restoration, was for example the first town in Italy to use donkeys for the collection and transportation of municipal waste.

Going from Castelbuono you will make a stop for a free tasting (40 minutes) of local products offered by Fiasconaro Bar, located on the main square not far from the medieval castle.

After you’ve eaten enough to be sharing a new exploration through a breathtaking journey into the heart of the nature of the Madonie, exceptional surroundings, full of unspoilt, green woodlands, rivers and streams that run through the length and breadth of these mountains, carrying water from mountains to the sea … An unforgettable experience.

A magnificent trail will take you in Piano Battaglia, a small ski resort situated at 1500m, which is popular in winter by skiers.

At about 13:30 you will arrive at the restaurant in Battle Ground where you will have lunch in a cabin with typical products of the Madonie.

Departure from the restaurant at about 15:00 in the direction of Isnello / Gratteri / Cefalù on a paved path.

Arriving in Cefalu at about 17:00.

The ‘quad excursion includes:

Briefing on the use, safety, and the first rudiments of the Quad.

A Quad for 1 person (extra 40 € per passenger aged 10 years or older).

2 guides (a head and a tail in constant communication via intercom).

Liability insurance against third car.

Fuel.

Helmet with visor.

Tasting of typical products from Fiasconaro in Castelbuono.

Lunch at the restaurant.

Pick-up for a minimum of 2 persons.

Weather conditions :

Possible cancellation may occur in the case where the atmospheric conditions does not permit a conduct excursion in complete safety.

The tour may be canceled or postponed to a date to be determined.

Dress code:

Sneakers or hiking boots, long trousers (preferably jeans) and a waterproof jacket type K-Way.
